About me
I've always loved food, and have been an adventurous eater since childhood. In the kitchen, I have more successes than failures, and often get requests to share my recipes. More than food, I love God, my husband and sons. I also enjoy traveling (my photos of Paris above), mountains, sunshine, reading, and the color red.
By day, I work for a huge accounting/tax/consulting firm. It's a great gig, but every job has its challenges, and I often unwind while cooking dinner for my family.
Sometimes, we eat out. That's life in a busy world.
So, I'll share lots of recipes, as well as some thoughts about dining out and the availability of healthy* choices. As a consumer and one who tries to be conscious of chemicals that can harm, I'll also share my thoughts on products that avoid the worst of these chemical offenders.
*My definition of healthy choices is: organic, "natural," minimally processed, non-GMO, and typically low carbohydrate and free of soy products and canola oil. This definition is based on life experience and lots of reading. While it is working for me, I'm not a doctor, and can't tell you what's best for you.
